EURONEAR - Tools - Ephemeris from Observations
Sorry, OrbFit engine currently under maintenance.
Select Find_Orb instead, or use the UCV mirror.
Description: Calculates the ephemeris of a solar system object (asteroid, comet, planet).
Input: The object observations given in stardard MPC format.
Output: Ephemeris (RA and Dec positions), Delta (Earth distance), r (Sun distance) both in astronomical units (a.u.),
proper motion (in RA and Dec, in arcsec/min), elongation from Sun, phase angle, galactic latitude (all in degrees),
sky uncertainties (in RA and Dec) and the orientation on sky of the uncertainty ellipse (in degrees), calculated at geocentre.
Using: Find_Orb (Bill Gray) and
The OrbFit Software Package (OrbFit Consortium - A. Milani et al, 2017), both installed locally.
Note: OrbFit is unstable to run new multi-observations orbits, thus we provide two multi-step models.
